Recording of Lectures by Audio Visual Services (AVS)

Lectopia records lectures and makes them available online within 48 hours.

If you wish to have lectures recorded, please request Lectopia using the online bookings system: Bookings in Lectopia (BiL).

If you are:

  • offering a unit externally; or
  • thinking of using Lectopia to record lectures

you will need to read further.

If you have converted or developed a flexible unit according to the steps listed in Converting Units to the Flexible Model every effort will be made to have your classes recorded using Lectopia. You will still need to submit a request online (as above).

Students will have access to the recordings from their online unit on their MyUnits page.

Units offered externally

Students studying in the external mode will use Lectopia to access the current teaching period's recordings.

If you have equity or external students who are unable to access Lectopia, copies of the recordings can be provided. When a student requests a copy of recordings:

  1. confirm the student is an equity or external student who needs the copies to complete their unit
  2. explore options with the student
  3. complete the Lectopia copy request (available as a link within the online bookings system as above).

Recording venues

Most areas have venues that are Lectopia compatible.

For those units that have lectures in other venues, recording is still possible by using minidisc recorders. Contact AVS.
