Rockingham Discover Your Potential Scholarship Fund
A university education allows you to learn valuable skills, explore new career prospects and enjoy life-changing experiences – but not everybody gets the chance to study at uni. The cost of studying at university means that some people don’t even consider it as one of their options for the future.
The Discover Your Potential Scholarship Fund has been established to help make university study more achievable for more students in the Rockingham-Kwinana community – and you can make a difference. Some important things to know about the fund:
- The aim is to award scholarships to one student from each of the 11 high schools in the Rockingham region. These scholarships could mark major turning points for students who previously thought they could not afford to attend university.
- We will offer each selected student $2,500 per year for each year of an undergraduate degree at our Rockingham Campus. That’s a total of $10,000 across four full years of study.
- The fund has been inspired by the late Gary Holland, former CEO of the City of Rockingham who was passionate about the future of the Rockingham community and lobbied tirelessly to ensure that our Rockingham Campus became a reality. Sadly, Gary passed away in 2008 and now his family and colleagues from the Rockingham Education Development Group are committed to continuing Gary’s determination to make a difference to people in the region.
