Become a prize or scholarship donor

Murdoch attracts free thinkers with a desire to discover. We're committed to encouraging our Murdoch community to share ideas, pool knowledge and find new ways of thinking - and there are several ways you can make a difference as a prize or scholarship donor.

The growth of Murdoch University during the last 34 years has been assisted by leading Australian and international businesses as well as community minded individuals. Their support has provided prizes and scholarships to help our students achieve their academic goals and to make life at University just that little bit easier.

Student Prizes

Murdoch University runs an established prize program to reward the effort and achievements of our students. Prizes are awarded on merit and can be awarded to students within any discipline and at any year level. Prize conditions are established in consultation with donors and relevant Academic staff.

Student Scholarships

We are proud to provide a strong system of support to our diverse student population and scholarships form an important part of that structure. Our scholarships reward outstanding achievement whether academic or through personal commitment to the community. Importantly, they also provide assistance to students experiencing adversity and allow them to realise their academic and career goals. Scholarships are awarded via a competitive round of applications.

Acknowledgment

Prizes and scholarships are listed on Murdoch’s website and in the annual handbook. They are awarded at a formal presentation ceremony. Donors are invited to attend the event to present their prize or scholarship and meet and congratulate the students involved. Donors have the option of remaining anonymous and the University will present your award on your behalf.

You too can be involved in supporting our students. We invite you to consider making a tax deductible donation in order to establish a prize or scholarship, which can be named in honour of the donor or in memory of a loved one.
