The team at Murdoch Animal Cancer Care Unit provides a caring, compassionate and complete oncology service that aims to link seamlessly with your regular veterinary clinic to provide the best possible care for your pet.

To make an appointment at the Murdoch Animal Cancer Care Unit, you will need to make sure your vet has completed a referral form, which you can bring with you or your vet can email or fax to us.

The focus of the Murdoch Animal Cancer Care Unit will always be to choose medical and surgical options that give your pet the best quality of life, whilst giving your pet the best chance of cure.

Your pet will receive co-operative and compassionate care. Advances in intensive care, anaesthesia and pain management support has allowed improved outcomes to many cancer patients.

Murdoch Animal Cancer Care Unit is co-ordinated by Dr Fleur James with assistance from key staff within the Medicine and Surgery Departments. This new arrangement facilitates complete cancer patient management.

Murdoch Animal Cancer Care Unit is the only service in Western Australia that offers these services 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

Dedicated Oncology Clinic Days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with Primary surgery cases seen Monday to Thursday.

Emergencies on Mondays and Fridays are seen through the Medicine Department.
