Small Animal Referral Services - Oncology fees

An initial consultation with the Small Animal Oncology Service is $146.25.  Fees relating to further investigations and treatment options will be discussed at time of consultation.

The diagnostic and therapeutic approach taken and consequent cost will be directed largely by your client’s particular circumstances and preferences.

To further counsel your clients here are some estimates of total costs for routine chemotherapy protocols:

Intense Lymphoma protocol (includes 16 visits and associated pre-chemotherapy haematology, chemotherapy administration and drug costs, day hospitalisation at each visit)
 $7,000
Less intense Lymphoma protocols (includes a minimum of 6 visits and associated pre-chemotherapy haematology +/- ALT, chemotherapy administration and drug costs, day hospitalisation at each visit) $2,500 - $4,500
High grade Mast Cell Tumour protocol (includes 10 visits and associated pre-chemotherapy haematology +/- ALT, chemotherapy administration and drug costs, day hospitalisation at each visit)

Haemangiosarcoma protocol (includes a minimum of 6 visits and associated pre-chemotherapy haematology +/- ALT, chemotherapy administration and drug costs, day hospitalisation at each visit; the more expensive protocol involves double the number of visits and additional drugs administered at each visit) $3,500 - $8,000
Carcinoma protocols (includes 6 - 8 visits and associated pre-chemotherapy haematology, chemotherapy administration and drug costs, day hospitalisation at each visit)
 $3,500 - $5,200
Osteosarcoma protocol (includes 6 visits and associated pre-chemotherapy haematology, chemotherapy administration and drug costs, day hospitalisation at each visit; does not include administration of pamidronate if required)
