| Anthea graduated from University of Queensland In 1989. After graduating she completed an internship and residency in Large Animals medicine at University of Sydney. Anthea then moved to the United Kingdom in 1995 to undertake a PhD and complete specialist training in Veterinary Anaesthesia. Anthea returned to Australia in 2003 to work in the Murdoch University Pet Emergency Centre and then moved to the veterinary Anaesthetic section in 2005, where she worked as a senior registrar until 2008 when she was appointed to the position of Senior Lecturer. As a result her responsibilities have changed from clinical duties to that of teaching and research. Anthea has a special interest in Equine Anaesthesia, Anaesthesia of the critically ill patient and anaesthesia of animals with neurological disease. |

Gabby graduated from Murdoch Veterinary School in 1995 and spent 6 years in mixed and small animal practice in Australia and the UK before starting a residency in Anaesthesia at the Vet School in Glasgow in 2001. She completed her residency and became a Diplomat of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2005. She returned to Australia and Murdoch at the beginning of 2006 and started a PhD at the University of Western Australia looking at a lung protective ventilation strategy for use in premature babies. She finished her PhD and started her position as a Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Anaesthesia in July 2010. She is also employed at the University of Western Australia as a Veterinarian for Animal Care Services. Her areas of interest are total intravenous anaesthesia, respiratory physiology and improving the welfare of animals involved in medical research. |

| Griet graduated from Murdoch University in 1986. She worked in both mixed and small animal practice in South Australia and completed a masters degree in veterinary studies in small animal medicine and surgery. Griet did her residency in anaesthesia and critical care at Murdoch University and is a Fellow of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists and a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia. She is also a certified veterinary acupuncturist. She currently works as a Senior Registrar in veterinary anaesthesia at Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital and consults in small animal pain management. |

| Luiz graduated from Santa Catarina State University (UDESC) in 2003, in Brazil. He did a residency in equine medicine and surgery in Curitiba, Brazil and later on completed a masters degree in veterinary science in anaesthesiology at UDESC. Luiz completed an internship and residency in anaesthesia and critical care at Louisiana State University and at Cornell University, respectively and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ACVAA). He has worked at the University at Pennsylvania (New Bolton Center) as a research associate and clinical instructor and currently works as a Registrar in Veterinary Anaesthesia at the Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital. |

| Louise graduated in 1996 from Murdoch University and spent 3 years in small animal practice in Adelaide. After working as a locum in the United Kingdom and Perth for 3 years, Louise undertook Membership examinations with the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Surgery 2003 and Anaesthesia and Critical Care 2005. Louise completed her residency training in Anaesthesia and Critical Care in November 2007 and aiming for Board Certification in 2009. Louise has been involved with ophthalmological research in pigs and analgesic studies for tramadol in dogs. Clinical interests include cardiothoracic and endocrine anaesthesia. |

| Ellie graduated from the University of Sydney in 2002. Since graduating, Ellie has worked in both mixed and small animal practice In Australia and United Kingdom. Ellie started a residency and masters training program in veterinary Anaesthesia at Murdoch University in 2007. She has also has successfully completed examinations in veterinary anaesthesia to become a Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists. |

| Mara graduated from Murdoch in 2007 and then worked in mixed practice in Victoria for eighteen months. Following this she completed a small animal internship at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. In September 2010 she started a residency program in Veterinary Anaesthesia at Murdoch University. | |

| After graduating from Bristol University in 2006, Claire spent 10 months working in mixed animal practice, before spending the next two years working in both general equine and stud based practices in Australia and Ireland. Claire completed a 6-month surgical internship at Scone Equine Hospital in 2009 and an 18-month rotating internship at Rossdale and Partners Equine Hospital at the end of July 2011. Following this she began a 3 year Anaesthesia Residency at Murdoch University in March 2012 | |

Jen graduated from Glasgow University in Scotland in 2005. After a period of mixed practice in the UK Jen moved to Australia to work in an emergency small animal practice for almost four years. Jen came to work in the Anaesthesia Service at Murdoch in 2011, and began a Residency Training Program in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2012. Jen has also passed examinations in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Critical Care to achieve Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia, but is particularly interested in the anaesthesia of critically ill small animals. |

Renata is an intern in Anaesthesia at Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital (MUVH). She graduated from University of Minas Gerais (UFMG - Brazil) in 2010. She started her Masters Degree (MPhil) at Murdoch University in 2011 looking at the frequency and predisposing factors of hypotension in healthy dogs. During her degree, Renata has been awarded prizes including best young speaker at the anaesthesia, emergency and critical care chapter at the Australian and New Zealand College Science Week 2012. Also during the course of her Masters, she assisted with the teaching anaesthesiology to the 3rd, 4th and 5th year veterinary students, at MUVH. Renata is currently enrolled in a diploma in tertiary and adult education at Murdoch University. |

| Joelene has worked at Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital since 2001. Between 2001 and 2007 Joelene worked in the Murdoch Pet Emergency Centre where she was intimately involved in the intensive care of critically ill animals. In 2008 the Australian Veterinary Nursing Association awarded Joelene the title of Accredited Veterinary Nurse for her achievements in veterinary nursing. Joelene joined the section of Veterinary Anaesthesia in 2007. Joelene is currently completing her diploma in emergency medicine and critical care. She has a special interest in anaesthesia of the critically ill animal. |
