In Loving Memory of
Zara
1 Jan 1990 to 24 Sep 2008
She was a fluffly grey girl with big golden eyes
A face like a gremlin and loud meowing cries
She used to snore and keep us all awake
I’d say ‘Stop your snoring Zara, for goodness sake’
She’s scratch on our bedroom door to be let in
And wouldn’t stop until she had a win
Her favourite foods were chicken and milk
And when we brushed her she felt as soft as silk
Every summer she’d have her yearly trim
To rid her of knots and stop her looking so grim
She’d sneak out the front gate and hide under the trees
And watch the world go by as her hair moved in the breeze
In September 2008 she developed fluid on her chest
Her breathing suffered badly so we put her down to rest
It was the saddest day saying goodbye
As I held her close and started to cry
Now she lays under her shady Tallow tree
Finally resting with her spirit set free.
Thank you to David at Bullcreek Veterinary Hospital for your
kindness, generosity and compassion. It is greatly appreciated.
