Popcorn (1997 - 2010)
Popcorn was a lovely female Japanese Spitz born in L.A. and came to me in 2001. I believe Popcorn was born in May 1997. Popcorn lived a comfortable life initially in L.A. and later in Hong Kong since 2001.
I have not never ever come across anyone or other pet dogs who don't adore Popcorn. She looks good spirit, energetic, smart very approachable in her all white fur. Popcorn doesn't smell and is alway ready to act in any way you would like her to.
Popcorn is one of the many pleasures I have in life, probably the most special one. There were a few times Popcorn was sick, pretty sick. But everytime she showed tremendous resilience in recovery. Despite I didn't spend enough time with her, she's always forgiving, adorable and meets me with delight, excitement and playfulness. Her attitude to life is most respectful of all. You can always tell she wanted to live and live only a colorful painless life, the kind of life she aspires to live.
I thank Popcorn for all the time she spends with me. She's very good dog. She was initially very annoyed with new dog members of the family, Ginger and Martini. As Popcorn grew older, I believe she accepted tham and forgave me for bringing them into our life. Both Ginger and Martini miss Popcorn. Marissa misses Popcorn too, very much.
I did what I could to make Popcorn feel better during her last six months of her life. Popcorn had a fantastic 13th birthday this year, her last one. It was a wonderful doggie party with Popcorn having her own birthday cake.
We were asked if we should put her to sleep during her last days. We refused. I could tell from Popcorn's eyes that she wanted to live and live well and would go to heaven at the moment she feels her life is no longer enjoyable like it used to be. So be it! She finally decided that moment came on the evening of September 8 at 9:44pm Hong Kong time. May her rest in peace with God!
