Goodbye Mr Patrick, our beloved feline friend.
You have been a Godsend
To bring delight to our retirement days
With fun and joy in your special ways.
Your big ambour-colour eyes
Sparkling like stars in the skies.
The tufty pom pom at your behind
Makes you different from your kind.
You are a smart cat with your tiny white gloves,
A friend to man but a foe to doves.
We miss your morning roar
And the sight of you waiting at the door.
You can now frolic on the pasture green
Which you in your earthly life have never seen.
You have nothing more to fret.
You are forever our Heavenly Father’s pet.
