MISHA O'REILLY

Misha was a short haired chihuahua and in the photograph is pictured with her sister, Shari.

Misha may have been small in size but she had a HUGE personality and a smile that could light up the room. She was fiercely loyal to me and my very bestest friend. During difficult times Misha would always be the first one I'd turn to for comfort and she never let me down. Misha had an endearing way about her and loved to be cuddled. She loved going for walks to the local park. Before her arthritis took hold we would go walking together nearly every day. One thing she didn't like was the cold. During winter she would sit so close to the heater that she'd nearly roast herself!

Her small size did not stop her from being an exceptional guard dog. I don't think she ever realised that she wasn't the size of a lion. Some chihuahuas have a reputation for being yappy dogs and barking at nothing - but Misha was never like that. She had a good strong bark and only barked if there was a disturbance or something out of the ordinary. Even my neighbour commented on what a good guard dog she was. I always felt safe knowing Misha was on duty.

Misha often used to fight with her sister. Misha was the boss from the start. I'm sure she was glad to have Shari's company though - especially when I was at work a lot. Often they would fight at bed time but by morning they would be snuggled together on the same pillow!

One time when we were out walking a guy approached me to see whether he could buy Misha from me. I told him "No way" and he said I could name my price! There is no way I would have ever let him have her - not even for a million dollars! She was a beautiful, loving, loyal and true friend. Misha will always hold a very special place in my heart.
I miss you Misha and thank you for so many special memories xoxoxox
