Sarah Newman
Jan 1994 – Jan 2009
Our third Golden Retriever ‘Sarah’ came to live with us at eight weeks of age – a bundle of mischief and boundless energy.
17 years earlier we had purchased quiet, gentle ‘Goldie’ (1977-1993) who 3 years later produced a litter of nine beautiful puppies – one of which became our loyal, devoted ‘Dusty’ (1980 – 1993) her master’s constant shadow.
‘Sarah’ was so full of the joys of life. A walk in the bush was for her an adventure not to be missed. Off chasing rabbits or investigating a fox hole she would disappear until the only sign of her was her continual wagging tail.
She matured into a wonderful friendly loving adored companion.
Unfortunately the final 7 years of her life were spent in a built-up area. No more open space to roam at will. Although she adapted well to her new life she loved being taken for a walk along the riverside or for a run in the local park. When even these pleasures became too strenuous she still enjoyed her morning and afternoon stroll until the end.
Very sadly missed
We will all meet again at the end of the rainbow
