Poppy Lloyd Pekingese

Born August 1997 Died November 2005

My Mom brought me Poppy for Christmas in 1997 so my other Pekingnese, China, would have a companion. Because Mom was ill on the weekend we should have gone down to Pinjarra to collect her, the breeders brought her up to our home.

That night my beloved Mom passed away. I truly think the arrival of Poppy and of course having china, saved me on many occasions and helped me survive some very dark days.

Poppy always was determined, sometimes difficult, loving, funny, nosey, noisy, naughty and a little unpredictable! Always so much fun. She did everything full-on. In quiet times she would sit with China and I and Neville and be gentle, charming and loving.

When I met my Neville she gave him a hard time and nipped him on two occasions. However, they came to love each other very much and we were a very happy family of four until she was taken ill in November.

Poppy is very much missed. She was ever the party girl, fulltime jolly.

A much loved companion to us all.
