SULTAN HILLS-HINDLEY
You came to as a boarder and quickly became a friend, paying us several visits and giving us the pleasure of looking after you while Mum and Dad went on holiday.
When Dad fell sick and eventually died you came to us when Mum wasn’t able to keep you in her unit and you became one of our family. You fitted in with the others, with Scamp, Brandy, Tisha, Nwt our tribe of Dachshunds. You accepted them and didn’t seem to mind if they walked underneath you when you were having your tea. Raz also accepted you, but with some reservations as he thought he owned the place.
You were a loveable giant of a dog who loved to lie in the sun. You had that wonderful knack of always finding somewhere to lie where everyone had to either go round you or step over you.
After three years with us you fell ill and eventually, despite all that Dr Gaby could do for you, you finally had to be put to sleep.
We still miss you old friend, and your ashes now are buried in our Memorial Garden so you are still here with the other members of our canine family.
May you rest in peace alongside your old friends.
Special thanks to Dr Chadwick and the staff at Harradine’s for their loving care for Sultan and for introducing us to this web page.
