Sophie Haslam

23rd September 2000 to 22nd July 2004

A treasure to behold
A bundle full of gold
So soft to the touch
We loved you very much

We wanted you to stay
But your life was planned another way
Too little time we had to share
Your gentle soul is in God’s care

Forever Loved

Sophie came into our lives at 3 months old, she was adorable. On that day we gave her a rather large soft toy (a dog), which was her friend until the end, we only had to say go and fetch Doggie, as it was called, I know very original, and off she would go to find it and bring it back shaking it vigorously, that dog went everywhere even on her vet stays it was by her side, so much so we thought it was only fitting to have Doggie cremated with her. Sophie was diagnosed with epilepsy when she was 3 years old and her seizures were a regular occurrence, even with medication they were severe. Unfortunately these seizures took their toll and on the 22nd of July we had to say our goodbyes to Sophie; she had suffered brain damage and was in a dreadful way. We will always have loving thoughts of Sophie; she was quite a character and we miss her terribly.

We would like to thank Ranford Veterinary Hospital for their kind donation on behalf of Sophie and for all their effort in Sophie’s short life.
