Scooby Hart

20 June 1992 to 2 April 2008

Scooby had a wonderfully friendly nature and was a much loved dog in our family. Firstly with Rob who brought him home as a puppy, and with Andrew with whom he enjoyed many strenuous training runs. With Gwenda whom he enjoyed long walks in all types of terrain and was a devoted loyal companion during her illness, sleeping on the floor by her bedside at night. Then over the last 5 years with me, in Bicton where he loved his walks around the high ground adjoining the river.

Even in old age he most loved a swim, and even if he was tired during a long walk he would determinedly negotiate the 93 steps down to the river & back. His seemingly always shiny black and white coat and his wonderfully friendly nature attracted peoples attention and interest and more often than not an affectionate pat.

We will always have loving thoughts of Scooby and will miss him terribly. He brought joy to a lot of people’s lives.

I would like to thank the Booragoon Veterinary Hospital for their kind donation on behalf of Scooby, their care over the last 5 years and particularly the professional & compassionate attention and understanding we received from Emma & Carmel in Scooby’s final few days.

From
Barry, Gwenda (deceased), Rob & Andrew
