Nandi Hope
Luftlag Casino Lady
26.4.1988 – 23.12.2002 (14½ years)
The day my Father said I could have a German Shepherd I thought I was the luckiest person in the world. Nandi came into my life, 10 weeks old, my bundle of joy. She was so full of life yet a lady from head to paw. She loved her tennis ball and she loved the water. Her favourite place was walking down by the river and getting her paws wet. She loved to play hide and seek with us and especially tug of war with Dad. She grew into a beautiful gentle dog and was my pride and joy.
Nandi will always be my best friend and soul mate and at her fantastic age of 14½ years she had the strongest mind and constitution which I greatly admired. She gave me strength and wisdom. As hard as it was I knew in my heart the day had come when I had to release her into eternal peace after suffering a major stroke in December. I believe Nandi, my gentle lady and companion is forever more at peace and with my Father. She came to me on my birthday 14½ years ago and has now gone to Dad on his birthday. The cycle now completed yet the bond remains so strong. I will always love her and cherish her memory.
My eternal thanks to Dr Don Nickels who so lovingly looked after my girl for 14½ years. He is truly a wonderful vet and a very kind person.
