Bitsy Hymus

1989-May 2001

We took Bitsy into our home as a stray in May 1999. She was approximately 10 years old, battle scarred and slightly deaf. Bitsy was very streetwise and loyal. When we took her in, our home was undergoing major renovations, so she was constantly 'getting out'. She always managed to find her way home, and indeed made many friends amongst the various tradesmen onsite.

Later on as her health declined she regularly enjoyed the comforts of home cooked savoury mince and rice, along with the family lounge room, and visits to Nanna.

Though her death on May 12th 2001 was not unexpected, it was nevertheless a very sad occasion. She was a very loyal dog, and enjoyed nothing more than a walk down at the beach and imposing her dominance on other dogs.
