Oscar & Zoe Fleming

Oscar & Zoe came into our lives in February 1999. Although they were bred in Brunswick Junction, WA, we bought them from a pet shop in the deep dark depths of Mongkok, Hong Kong. With the help of our good friend and vet, Dr Lloyd Kenda, we had done our research and decided upon the Russian Blue as a breed since they were supposed to be good "apartment cats". They proved to be exactly that: from day one, they were the most wonderful, fun, loving and loyal pets who very kindly let us live in what was very much THEIR apartment! They slept with us every night (usually on our pillows) and kept us entertained with their antics of running around madly, chasing laser lights on the floor and leaping out at us when we passed.

With the births of our three daughters in the latter years of Oscar & Zoe's lives, they remained as gentle and loving as ever. It was hard for them to see us with these other creatures who were noisy and demanded so much of our attention... but not once did they ever scratch, bite or strike out at the girls, even when they were being chased!

For 13 and 14 years respectively, Oscar and Zoe were a huge part of our lives and the house seems so incredibly empty without them. We miss them every day and we will never forget them.
