Raz Ewen

It was love at first sight when I first met ten weeks old Razzamataz, but I could not have her then. She had been sent from Victoria to my friend, Glen, a leading breeder of Labradors, mainly for showing and breeding. Eighteen months later Glen decided not to breed from Raz and gave her to me.

My husband, Ross, and I had owned Labs for about 50 years. Raz became No. 12. She was welcomed to our family by Becky (9) and Swanee (6).

Although she had always lived on a large kennel property, she walked into our home as if she had lived there all her life. She was a delight to live with as well as being a wonderful guard dog.

She trained easily and we soon competed in Retrieving Trials for Gundogs and reached Championship class.

Sadly her life ended at Christmas, 2007.

Goodbye Raz - we will remember you always.
