Murphie Bateson
Born April 1990 – Died 18 Sept 2005
Murphie, the ad read “free to good home”. I remember the day I picked you up for the first time. How when I saw you come running out of that shed, all of 6 weeks old, I knew I had to take you home. You were the cutest little thing I had ever seen. As you grew into a big beautiful dog you used to swim in Pa’s pool and dig holes in his gardens. You always remembered Grandma and Pa and always wanted their attention when they visited. You were the most gentle, patient, loving and trusting friend a person could have. We were so happy living with you. You gave us protection and love. We spoiled you because we loved you and you deserved the very best of everything. And, oh, how you loved the Lucky Dog Biscuits, you would have lived on them if we let you.
We loved you unconditionally just as you loved us unconditionally. We got to spend 15 and a half wonderful years with you even though that is nowhere near long enough. You brought us so much joy and you had the ability to make everyone who met you fall in love with you as well. Little kids sometimes thought you were a lion and one even thought you were a bear. You loved the cats Kirby and Baby and I know they, Kirby especially loved you. We loved the walks, the companionship the belly rubs, high fives and cuddles. We miss you so much our angel. You are so beautiful and we love you so much.
Our sadness at your passing is almost too much to bear.
We will love you forever.
Alli and Arthur Bateson
