Lucky Beal

November 1988 - July 2004

Dearest Lucky,

You were someone’s discarded Christmas present, that nobody wanted, dumped in our neighbour’s back yard, on Boxing Day 1988. We saw you and fell in love with you, and we wanted you very much. You were a beautiful little puppy, why were you left to fend for yourself in such a cruel way.

You came home with your new Mum, and were introduced to your new family, I had my doubts whether our Jack Russell, Toby would accept you, but he did, and you became the best of pals. Toby guided you for the first 12 years of your life, and it was heartbreaking to watch you mourn him on his passing 4 years ago. We thought you were lonely without Toby, so we thought we would get another dog,. for you, as well as for us. However, you had different ideas, and decided that you now wanted us all to yourself. You didn't know that you were a dog, you thought you were a person, having free roam of the house and furniture. How I miss your hair everywhere, the house is so clean now, and empty too. The grass is growing over the dead patches in the back yard, I would rather that they were still there. Your little wet nose marks left on the sliding door have been cleaned away now. I left them for 6 weeks, but had to remove them reluctantly, and with heavy heart. What I would give to be able to start all over again with you. I hope you are running free, and having fun with Toby somewhere out there.

Thank you Lucky, for being you, the love that you brought to us all, your good nature and patience, always happy and smiling, forever grateful to us for taking you in. You will be forever in our hearts, we see you and hear you all around us, you will never be forgotten, a very special dog, always loved.

Your Mum and Dad xxxx

Lucky is resting alongside his beloved Toby, together forever, Rest in Peace darling Lucky.

Special thanks go to the Ranford Vets, Caroline, David and Graham, and all the kind nurses, that looked after Lucky with such loving care and kindness, and who made a donation ,and nominated him for this web site.
