Humphrey Ayers

Humphrey was a family dog, very gentle and loved attention.
He was admired by all the people that we met on our daily walks.
There were a select few who always had a titbit in their pocket
that received special attention, he ran up to them and sat down in
front of them and waited patiently knowing he would receive something.

He has been the Patriarch of my extended family's pet dogs,
consisting of 7 retrievers, one bullmastiff and one "bitser".
Although related to none of them he was friends to all.

He became my special companion and never left my side after my wife
died 2 years ago. One day I will no doubt feel that I need another Retriever.
