An unrestricted gift will allow the College of Veterinary Medicine to meet the unpredictable and changing needs of the future. If you wish your gift to be designated for a specific purpose we have many funds allocated for different purposes and we can discuss your interests further with you.
Gifts to the Veterinary Trust are tax deductible and can be:
• put towards one of our current projects or prizes and scholarships
• earmarked for work with a particular species or to a particular disease or health problem
• a general donation to be put towards the area of greatest need
Wishlist
As technology and standards of veterinary care advance, the many supporters of the Vet Trust help Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital utilise new technologies and equipment to offer even more treatment options. Donations from our supporters have helped purchase many important items for both the College and the Murdoch Pet Emergency Centre (MPEC).
You too can help the patients of the Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital and also help a new generation of veterinarians learn the latest techniques and practices with the latest equipment, improving the health and welfare of animals into the future.
The following are current requirements of MPEC and examples of ways that your gift will help someone’s pet experience a happier, healthier future.
$50 – An item as simple as a fold up table will allow precious space to be utilised in the most suitable way required at any particular time, for any particular situation.
$500 –A mobile suction pump can be used in the prep room for surgery and by anaesthesiologists for airway suction.
$2,500 – A Bair Hugger is a warming system that surrounds patients in a blanket of warm air, regulating their core temperature which is essential during surgery and recovery.
$8,000 – A specially designed and manufactured insert in a vehicle will provide appropriate ambulatory services to animals needing transport.
$12,000 – Will help the clinical pathology department purchase up to date microscopes, ensuring Murdoch graduates are at the forefront of 21st century veterinary science.
