VLS Announcements - 13 February 2015

Dear Colleagues,

Welcome to issue 024 of our weekly online VLS Announcements.

This platform is an opportunity to share your achievements or those of your team and to communicate internal and external news relevant to the School of VLS on a weekly basis.

The Announcements contain important messages from other central areas on campus and are a crucial way to keep each other informed. For your convenience, items that require action are now identified with a red flag on the online announcements for action.

I'd like to acknowledge Andrew Currie, Tim Hyndman, Kate Bryant, Phil Stumbles, Wendy Vance, Jacqueline Baker, Melissa Claus & Liza Parkinson who have all been identified as being in the top 10% of teaching staff by 2014 Student Surveys.  I'm sure you'll all join me in congratulating them on this effort.

Best Wishes,

David Hampson

  • Sustainable Water Management Conference, Murdoch University November-December 2015

HERE is a brochure if you are interested in contributing or attending the International Conference on Sustainable Water Management Conference at Murdoch University later this year.

Abstracts are due by 1 June 2015 so there is time for you to write one. For a 5 day international conference it is remarkably cheap, especially if you register early.

There is an option of writing a paper for consideration by the AWA journal Water Science and Technology but doing a written paper is not obligatory, an abstract and talk is all that is required.
