Residency Programs with Concurrent Research Masters with Training
Murdoch University School of Veterinary & Life Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine offers advanced clinical training in several specialty disciplines. The clinical training programs are three-year full time residency training positions that are linked to concurrent enrolment in the Research Masters with Training degree.
The residency programs provide specialised professional training and experience in a chosen discipline such that the resident will be competent and prepared to qualify (i.e. credentialed) to sit specialist level examinations at the completion of their program. Specialist certification varies by discipline but includes Australian, European and American College certification. The RMT allows the student to gain research experience and produce a publication(s) and thesis, part of the scholarly requirements of the residency training programs.
Residencies are offered in Equine Surgery, Theriogenology, Small Animal Surgery, Small Animal Internal medicine, Dermatology, Emergency and Critical Care, and Anaesthesia. The residencies come available on a cyclic basis and are advertised on the Murdoch University website .
