Arthroscopy Workshop 2018

We would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to the Karl Storz team as well as Provet for their support of the Principles of Arthroscopy Workshop in 2017.  Their involvement helped make the 2 day workshop such a great success.

Save the dates!

Principles of Arthroscopy Workshop: Wednesday 14th - Thursday 15th November 2018

Advanced Arthroscopy Workshop: Friday 16th - Saturday 17th November 2018

In addition to the Principles of Arthroscopy Workshop, we will also be running an Advanced Arthroscopy Workshop for those who would like further development opportunities in this area.

We are looking forward to confirming details of these workshops in the near future and opening registrations soon.

Arthroscopy Workshop

The Centre for Advanced Veterinary Education and Karl Storz bring a unique opportunity to advance your arthroscopic surgery skills through a complrhensive 2 day workshop to be held in Perth, Western Australia.

This course will introduce and further develop arthroscopic surgery aimed at practicing veterinarians, specialist trianees and surgical specialists.  Through a mixture of lectures, case discussions, and cadaver workshops, participants will gain a sound understanding of arthroscopic surgery as it applies to the companion animal.  No prior arthroscopic training is required.

Lectures will focus on the instrumentation required for arthroscopy, the principles of joint entry and triangulation, and diseases of the elbow, shoulder, and stifle that may be treated with arthroscopy. Intensive cadaver workshops will allow practice of arthroscopic surgery of the elbow and shoulder joints with instruction and guidance from experts in the field.

Places are strictly limited to ensure participants receive the greatest exposure to specialist instruction with the opportunity to turn theory into practice.
