Biosensing Odour

Biosensing of odour (Honours scholarship of $5,000 is available for this project)

Odour is an environmental nuisance that has closed many essential services (e.g. waste treatment plants). Objective measurement of odour is important. We are developing a sensitive odour measurement technique based on attaching enzyme to an electrode. The enzyme will react with a target odour compound and release a signal that is detected by the electrode. This project is part of a larger ARC Linkage funded project and you will benefit from interaction with researchers investigating control of odour.
