Scientific services

The Marine and Freshwater Research Laboratory is capable of handling all your scientific needs from project design through to data analysis and scientific report writing. The facility has a team of experienced, enthusiastic and qualified scientists with expertise in marine systems, estuaries, wetlands and rivers. Examples of previous projects include:

  • Effect of the Dawesville Channel on the water quality, macroalgal communities and sediment of the Peel Harvey Estuary
  • Water quality monitoring of Cockburn and Warnbro Sounds
  • Seagrass mapping of Useless Loop, Shark Bay
  • Introduced marine pest survey of Fremantle Harbour
  • Ecological health of Wellard wetlands
