Tamara Watson is in her penultimate year of graduate law. In 2005 she completed a LLS majoring in Criminology and Political and Internationals Studies at Murdoch University . Tamara is currently working as a paralegal at the Employment Law Centre of WA and says that working in a Community Law Centre is an extremely rewarding experience. Tamara was a semi-finalist in the 2006 junior mooting competition. As a member of the 2007 Moot Court Bench, Tamara aims to build on and develop a strong mooting culture at Murdoch University. |

Vanja Tekic is currently in her 3 rd year at Murdoch University pursuing a double degree in Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Politics and International Studies. She has been involved in mooting since her first year; including junior and senior mooting. In her second year Vanja was a member of the Murdoch team at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. She hopes to encourage other students to participate in the mooting experience, especially on the international scale. |

Brett Turton is a final year student on the graduate LLB. In partnership with Martin Danger, Brett won the Allens Arthur Robinson client interview competition. Brett also competed in the grand final of Freehills senior mooting and represented Murdoch as a competitor at the ALSA conference in 2006. Brett’s main interest is banking and finance law as he has 12 years working experience in the Insurance, Banking and Finance sectors in South Africa, Europe and the United States. As a member of the Moot Court Bench, Brett aims to develop his skills and pass on his knowledge in advocacy to other law students. As an avid Rugby supporter, you could also ask Brett to pass on his tips about Super 14 and Rugby World Cup. Stephanie believes that mooting is an excellent way for students to apply their academic skills in practice, and is invaluable experience for anyone considering a career in litigation. |

Maria Tang is in her fifth year of a combined degree in Law and Asian Studies (Japanese Specialist). She has been a keen advocate of mooting since first year, especially now on an international scale. Earlier this year, she represented Murdoch University at the 2007 Philip C Jessup International Law Moot in Canberra. In 2003, Maria received the Vice Chancellor's Award for Academic Excellence. In her other international experiences, she has studied at a University in Tokyo for one year and worked for a Japanese law firm. She is also currently working as an intern to the Consulate-General of Japan in Perth. Maria would like to encourage mooting at Murdoch as she believes it really helps students develop important academic and practical skills, which she feels will give them an edge later in life. |

Rohan Mabey is currently in his 2nd year of a double degree in Law and Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Murdoch University. He has competed in both junior and senior mooting, and has secured a place in the Manfred Lachs Space Law Mooting team representing Murdoch in 2009. When Rohan first began studying law he had very little interest in developing his advocacy skills. However, after taking part in practise moots in some first year tutorials, and competing in junior mooting in his second semester, Rohan has developed a passion for mooting and is now considering a career in advocacy. |

Glen Williamson is in his penultimate year of the Graduate law program. Prior to attending Murdoch Glen completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Curtin University. His passion for mooting began in the 2006 Junior Mooting competition where he reached the semi-finals. As a member of the Moot Court Bench he hopes to help fellow students realise the benefits of mooting and provide more opportunities for them to participate. Outside his studies Glen is a keen golfer and also plays the drums. |

Angharad Watkins is in her penultimate year of a law degree. She decided to join the Moot Court Bench because it is an interesting unit, to become involved in various mooting activities, and to promote advocacy skills, which she believes are very important skills for lawyers. Angharad plays flute, and is working towards her A.M.E.B Grade 8 exam. She is currently attempting to memorise Franz Doppler’s Fantasie Pastorale Hongroise. In her spare time, Angharad enjoys reading, and is still a devoted Harry Potter fan.She would love to prepare Harry Potter’s legal defence in book 5 of the series. |

Watna Mori is in her 4th year of a Law/Politics & International Studies double degree. She comes from Papua New Guinea. Watna is currently a member of Murdoch's Phillip C. Jessup Moot team. Watna has a paper on Fiji's electoral system published in the current issue of the Journal of South Pacific Law. Outside of her studies Watna volunteers with CASE for Refugees; a community legal centre that provides services to refugees living in Western Australia, and is active in the WA branch of the Australia West Papua Association. Watna is very happy to be part of the Moot Court Bench and hopes to encourage increased student participation in mooting at Murdoch as she has witnessed the great benefits that flow from it. |

Aoning Li is a 5th year currently studying both a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Media. He is the current president of the Murdoch Student Law Society, and as such, a firm believer in the contributions that students can make to the life of the Law School. As a member of the Moot Court Bench, Aoning is looking forward to the additional opportunities to promote advocacy skills within the school, which has been his main passion in his years of legal study. Outside of the classroom, Aoning is also coaches at the En Garde Fencing Club, which trains on Thursday nights at the Murdoch Uni Gym. |
