Brynn Horner is in her final year of a Juris Doctor degree. In 2008 she completed a Bachelor of Commerce at UWA, majoring Investment and Corporate Finance. Brynn first experienced mooting in 2009 where she reached the semi-finals of the Torts Moot. Since then she has placed second in 2009 Junior Mooting, second in 2010 Senior Mooting, second in 2010 Inter-varsity Moot, and was a member of both the 2010 ALSA Moot team and 2010 LexisNexis Constitutional Law Moot team. Brynn has joined MCB to help encourage other students to participate in mooting and other advocacy opportunities as she believes it is important to develop a practical application of their knowledge for life after uni. Outside of university Brynn competes in show jumping, and shops far too much. |

Stephen Petersen is in his final year of a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Communication (Public Relations). Stephen has competed in a wide range of Murdoch Law competitions, including; trial advocacy, negotiations, and client interview. Stephen was runner up grand finalist in the 2009 Blake Dawson Trial Advocacy competition. Stephen, (with his partner Blake Primrose) won the 2008 Malcolm McCusker Mock Trials, 2009 Jackson McDonald Negotiations and 2010 Norton Rose Negotiations competitions. Stephen represented Murdoch in the national Allens Arthur Robinson Negotiations competition at the 2010 Australian Law Student Association conference, where he placed 9th out of 32 universities. He was also a member of the winning 2011 International Mediation Tournament team, and was judged one of the top ten individual mediators in that tournament. Outside of university Stephen has many interest, which include; spending time with friends, spear fishing, and saving his hard earned dollars for his next trip overseas. |

Jessica Brandham is in her fourth year of a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce double degree, majoring in Professional Accounting. Jessica successfully participated in the 2010 Invitational Mediation Tournament, being part of the third-ranked team and being ranked as the second-top individual mediator after the preliminary rounds. Jessica has joined the Moot Court Bench to develop her own mooting skills and help teach others about mooting at Murdoch. Jessica has also participated in the Macerata Summer Program, is the Vice President of the Murdoch Business Club, and will be competing in the 2011 International ADR Moot Competition. Outside university Jessica enjoys spending time with family and friends. |

Brendon Denkha is undertaking a double degree in Law and Economics at Murdoch University. He is in his fifth year of study and will be concluding his tertiary education in 2011 with a Postgraduate Certificate in Chinese Law and Honors in Growth Economics. Brendon has always been interested in advocacy and since 2006 he has participated in both domestic and international mooting competitions. In 2009 Brendon was a member of the Murdoch team that ranked 7th in Australia in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. More recently, he was involved in the International Alternative Dispute Resolution Moot which was held in Hong Kong. The Murdoch team was announced overall winners in the arbitration and mediation categories and achieved runner up best written memorandum. Outside of University, he is a paralegal at Albert Wolff Chambers and also a member of the Vision Generation; a body which aims to inspire, educate and empower young people in the fight against global poverty and injustice. |

David Herbert joins the Moot Court Bench in his final year of University. He has competed in a wide range of competitions, including client interview, negotiations, trial advocacy, junior mooting and paper presentation. In 2010 David represented Murdoch University in the ALSA Paper Presentation competition, managing to win the competition, resulting in consecutive victories for Murdoch University in this national competition. David has a strong interest in corporate and mining law and hopes to practice in these fields following graduation. David’s involvement in MCB this year will include representing Murdoch as part of the IASLA Space Law Moot Court Competition, and providing coaching and judging assistance to the various competitions he has participated in throughout his university experience. |

Malcolm Jezewski is currently in his fifth year of a double degree in Law and Commerce, majoring in Finance. He has spent several weeks studying at Zhengzhou University in China and will be graduating with a Postgraduate Certificate in Chinese Law. He began mooting later than most, with his first competition experience being in senior mooting, but has since judged various competitions and was a member of Murdoch’s 2011 Phillip C. Jessup Public International Law Moot Court Competition team. Malcolm decided to join the Moot Court Bench to help foster a mooting culture at Murdoch and to give something back to a program that has provided him with so many opportunities. Outside of uni life, Malcolm has maintained (bar during exam time) a love for fitness and training, loves socializing and is yet to shake his Nando’s addiction. |

Vlada Lemaic is currently in his second year of a combined LLB / BA(Psych) degree. He developed significant enthusiasm for mooting in semester one of 2010 where he competed in the MSLS Senior Mooting competition and progressed to the semi-finals. Since then, Vlada has been accepted onto the Willem C Vis International Commercial Arbitration Mooting team and will be travelling to Vienna in April 2011 representing Murdoch University. Outside of university, he has recently been assisting defence counsel in the case of The Queen v Hadi Ahmadi. Vlada is also a keen photographer and is politically active. |

Alex McVey is currently in his second year of combined Law and Arts (History) degrees. He is the 2011 Secretary for the Murdoch Student Law Society, as well as being a team member of the 2011 Murdoch International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot Team. Alex has participated in several MSLS Competitions and, with Veronica Burns, won the 2010 Junior Client Interview Competition. Having competed in both the 2010 MSLS Junior Trial Advocacy and the 2010 Torts Moot, and having a passion for acting, Alex has found love with the practice of Trial Advocacy and Mooting. This interest prompted Alex to join the Moot Court Bench so that he may develop and improve his advocacy skills. Outside of University, Alex unwinds by spending time with his friends, watching movies and getting involved with the Murdoch Theatre Company. |

Alanah Murphyis currently in her third year of a double degree in law and media. Alanah has been interested in mooting since her arrival at Murdoch University and was a Grand Finalist in the 2009 Junior Trial Advocacy competition. She is currently the Competitions Vice President of the Murdoch Law Student Society and has been selected as a member of the 2011 Willem C Vis International Commercial Arbitration Mooting team. |

Sarah Ozanne is currently in her penultimate year of a double degree in Law with a double minor in Politics and Accounting. Sarah has a passion for Trial Advocacy and her competition experience has mostly been within this field. Sarah joined the Moot Court Bench in order to further her own knowledge of Mooting and to help introduce others to Mooting, as well as all the other competitions Murdoch University has to offer. Outside of university, Sarah rides horses and is an accredited show jumping judge. Sarah also has a passion for music, regularly appears in theatrical productions, and is a trained classical singer. |
