Message from the Director

Murdoch University is an accredited Quality Assured provider of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities for the legal profession. The CPD system commenced in Western Australia on 1 July 2008, with compliance to be certified to the Legal Practice Board for the practice year commencing 1 July 2009. Under this system, certified legal practitioners must earn a minimum of 10 CPD Points in each CPD period across four competency areas, namely practice management, professional skills, ethics and professional responsibility and substantive law.

The School's CPD programme also provides seminars on a range of legal topics, presented by Murdoch academic staff, and guests from across Australia and internationally.
