Nursing and midwifery
The School of Health Professions aims to produce highly skilled graduates who possess professional, up-to-date clinical practice competencies to meet the health needs and priorities of the community in multidisciplinary settings. A range of nursing and midwifery undergraduate and postgraduate courses are offered that may be completed on a full or part time basis. Students develop their skills and knowledge with access to exceptional training and learning facilities at the Peel campus.
Chiropractic
The School includes a leading program for chiropractic academic, clinical and research excellence in Australia. Our research output is growing and to date has resulted in many articles in peer-reviewed journals. Murdoch University ranks highly in clinical research as judged by Excellence in Research Australia (ERA) standards and the School’s chiropractic researchers are proud to have contributed to this ranking. The School also operates an on-campus Chiropractic Clinic, serving the community and training students in professional setting under the mentorship of experienced practitioners. The School also provides clinical outreach services to local, regional and international areas.
Counselling
Gain a deep understanding of the counselling relationship through practical hands-on experience at Caladenia House, which houses the University's postgtraduate Counselling program. Students in their second year of training will choose to either undertake a substantial research project addressing an issue in counselling theory or practice or complete their degree with additional coursework.
