School of Engineering and Information Technology Courses
As a career, engineering offers so many different avenues of discovery. From instrumentation and control to renewable energy, Murdoch has a wide range of specialisations. We understand that it may take a little bit of time to work out what stream suits you best. That's why our first year offers a variety of engineering units to open your mind and help you make a more reasoned choice of career. A number of specialisations are available including: Electrical Power Engineering; Environmental Engineering; Industrial Computer Systems Engineering; Instrumentation and Control Engineering; Renewable Energy Engineering; Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering; and Engineering Technology.
Our School offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses for future and existing IT professionals. We focus on providing students with the technical knowledge and competencies for a successful career in the space, in addition to developing students' appreciation for other business disciplines and IT's relation to them. Our School limits class sizes and facilitates easy access to teaching staff to help students progress effectively through comprehensive courses, which are accredited to the Professional level with the Australian Computer Society (ACS).
Our School also offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses under the broad heading of Science. Majors include: Chemistry; Mathematics & Statistics; Physics & Nanotechnology; and Mineral Science. Our School has new state of the physics laboratories, comprehensive chemistry laboratories and extensive labs for mineral processing and analysis.
