Murdoch Secondary Internship Program

The following schools are offering internship places for 2016 to Murdoch Secondary Education students in their final year of study:

METRO:

RURAL:

  • Pilbara Cities (Newman SHS, Karratha SHS, Hedland SHS)
  • Wheatbelt
  • Manea Senior College (Bunbury)
  • Esperance SHS
  • Eastern Goldfields College

Earn while you learn

Funded opportunities exist for Bachelor of Education (2016 final year) and Grad. Dip. student interns, for their final 10 week block prac in Regional (rural/ remote) government schools in the Kimberley, Pilbara, Mid-West, Esperance and Goldfields Regions. Priority for funded places will be given to pre-service teachers of Maths or Science.

If you are placed, you can apply for funding through the Department of Education's Rural Teaching Program (RTP). This includes:
- Funds to travel to location (equivalent of airfare);
 - Stipend of up to $290 p/wk during placement, subject to location;

*must be an Australian Permanent Resident (or New Zealand citizen) to qualify. Click here for more information. 

How to apply 

Eligible students will be notified of Internship application dates via SONIA announcements.

NOTE
– You can still apply for Internships if you are planning to enrol in the Grad. Dip, but have not yet been formally accepted.
