Associate Professor Rob Trengove
Director and Node Leader
Associate Professor Robert Trengove is the Director of the Separation Science & Metabolomics Laboratory at Murdoch University, and a Node Leader for the Murdoch Node of Metabolomics Australia in Western Australia. Rob received his PhD from the University of Adelaide in Physical Chemistry in 1984, held a Postdoctoral position in Chemical Engineering at Imperial College of Science and Technology, a National Research Fellowship in Physics at Murdoch University with Woodside Offshore Petroleum and a NERDDC Research Fellowship at Murdoch University. In 2004 Robert established the Separation Science and Metabolomics Laboratory at Murdoch University and this has become a core facility for Murdoch University and is one of the leading Metabolomics laboratories in the region.
Dr Bong Sze How
Dr Bong Sze How is the Business and Operations Manager for the SSML. He supports the Director in the day-to-day management, financial, accreditation and commercial expectations of the SSML. Dr Bong graduated with a PhD from Murdoch University in Biomedical Science, working on molecular parasitology and drug development. He joined the Murdoch University Commercialisation Office upon graduation and has been involved in the formation of University spin-off companies. He brings experience in early-stage research commercialisation, technology and IP management to the team.
