Utilising extensive experience in traditional microscopy and well established molecular techniques this diagnostic service is able to provide a unique package for a wide variety of clientele from both the medical and veterinary professions. Current and past commercial/research clients include Perth Zoo, Native Animal Rescue, CSIRO, Bayer, SARDI, Qld health and Racing and Wagering WA.

Drug Screening Services

In addition, we can conduct high throughput screening of pharmacological compounds in a range of in vitro and in vivo models for neglected diseases such as trypanosomiasis and leishmaniasis, as well as other more ubiquitous parasites such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium.

Training and Workshops

The parasitology section can facilitate training and workshops in parasite diagnostics as well as short training courses in Aquatic Animal Health.
