Biography

Carol Lacroix is an interdisciplinary scholar with expertise in sociology.

Her research interests related to tourism include environment-society relations, visitation and protected areas, tourism and international development.

She is currently responsible for the interdisciplinary foundation unit “Knowing Nature”. She has held positions with the Conservation Commission of Western Australia (conservation reserve management and planning, policy and tourism) and as a Research Fellow with the Sustainable Tourism Cooperative Research Centre.

She is an active member of The Australian Sociological Association (TASA).
