Research

The research consisted of formative and evaluative stages. Initially, the project teams conducted interviews and focus groups with students and lecturers in Australian and Chinese universities. They also observed classroom activities and carried out document analysis of teaching and learning materials. The knowledge gained from the needs analysis assisted the teams to develop pedagical strategies and learning support materials for use in both countries.

They then conducted further research to evaluate the effectiveness of the resources in aiding students’ academic achievement.
