As an established leader in fundamental disciplinary and interdisciplinary research examining East and Southeast Asia, the Asia Research Centre has produced, over more two decades, a range of social, historical, political and economic research outputs. Researchers have published scores of books and edited collections and hundreds of chapters and refereed journal articles.

As the demands of publishing and Australian academic criteria have modified over the years, some of the Centre's early efforts at making research more broadly available have had to be replaced, with commercial publishing now the principal outlet.

The important publications by Centre researchers in 2012 are listed here.

The Centre's history of its research over 20 years can be downloaded as a book.

Annual Reports since 2005 can also be downloaded.

Some of the Centre's earlier work was pathbreaking and the Centre maintains this archive and listing of Working Papers, Policy Briefs, Asia Papers, and Asia View.

Details of book series originating in the Centre are also available: The New Rich in Asia, The Political Economy of Southeast Asia and Asian Capitalisms.
