New green energy initiatives revealed

Murdoch University experts are turning algae into clean fuel, helping Bunnings reduce its carbon footprint nationwide, and filling the skills gap created in the new carbon economy.

This month’s bumper issue of Explore, Murdoch’s campus magazine, features these and other new research – including the fact that by eco-renovating just 10 per cent of Perth’s homes, one less power station would be needed.

Also covered is the fact that Murdoch has just become the first Australian university to prevent 3500 tonnes of CO2 emissions being released into the atmosphere each year with its 15 per cent sign up to GreenPower.
