They tutor chiropractic students to integrate clinical thinking, decision making and practical application of chiropractic science to become evidence-based practitioners ready to provide "best practice" quality of care to their own patients and society.

Brian C Nook

Associate Professor Brian C Nook

Chiropractic and Sports Science, and extremity conditions

Dean of the Chiropractic and Sports Science School at Murdoch University, Associate Professor Brian Nook is an expert in chiropractic technique and extremity conditions. He is currently investigating how and why a joint loses its accessory motion, and how best to correct it.

Professor Nook is the 1st Vice President of the Federation Internationale de Chiropractique du Sport (FICS), the International body of sports chiropractors, and has served as a lead chiropractor at international sporting events including four Olympic Games.

Chiropractic history, inter-professional relations and allied health

Dr J Keith Simpson is an expert in chiropractic history, inter-professional relations and the future of chiropractic medicine in the evolving healthcare system of the 21st century.

He is a senior lecturer in clinical chiropractic at Murdoch’s community chiropractic clinic.

Dr Bruce Walker

Back pain, manual therapies and indigenous health

Dr Bruce Walker is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Chiropractic and Sports Science where he teaches evidence-based practise and public health.

His research interests include spinal pain, manual therapies, adverse events from spinal manipulation, Indigenous health, and evidence-based practice.

Dr Walker is a national executive member of the Chiropractic and Osteopathic College of Australasia (COCA), a member of the Australian Epidemiological Association, the Spine Society of Australia and the National Network of Spine Scientists. He is currently Editor-in-Chief to the journal of Chiropractic & Manual Therapies and a member of the Human Research Ethics Committee at Murdoch University.
