2014 Program fees
The fees listed below apply to those students applying directly to the Study Abroad Office at Murdoch University. (Please note all cost quoted are in AUD$ and do not include accommodation and cost of living expenses).
Study Abroad
$9000 per semester (based on up to 12 Murdoch credit point enrolment)
Refund Policy

Health Insurance
It is a requirement of the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) that all international students have health cover for the entire duration of their study in Australia.
• Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) provides comprehensive health insurance while you are in Australia.
• You will be required to pay the cost of OSHC to the University at the time you pay your tuition fees.
• The payment is necessary before the University can issue a Confirmation of Enrolment letter which you will require to apply for a student visa.
The cost of OSHC depends on your length of stay in Australia and will be calculated by the period shown on your visa.
Student Visas & Employment
Student visas cost approximately AU$535 (you will need to check the cost current at the time of applying) and are issued by the Australian Embassy or High Commission in your home country.
All student visas are issued with Permission to Work included. After you have commenced your studies Permission to Work allows you to work up to 40 hours per fortnight during semester and full-time during university vacations.
Student Services and Amenities Fees
In October 2011 the Australian Commonwealth Government passed a new law that allows universities to charge a compulsory Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) from 1 January 2012.
The SSAF allows Murdoch to provide and expand on the range of services which enhance the student experience at Murdoch. These include, but are not limited to – sporting and recreational facilities, providing legal services to students, promoting health or welfare of students, providing food/drink services and supporting artistic activities by students.
In 2014 SSAF is TBC for Study Abroad and Exchange Students.
