Application deadlines
Applying for entry to Murdoch couldn’t be easier – you can now apply online! Applications for nearly all courses we offer can be completed online.
Undergraduate courses
Applications for undergraduate or honours degrees can be made for commencement in either the Semester 1 or Semester 2 teaching periods.
There are no formal deadlines for undergraduate applications, though students should be aware that they will need to allow time to process their student visa and make all of the other necessary arrangements prior to coming to Perth to commence their studies. Therefore, it is recommended that applications be made at least 2 - 3 months prior to any given intake.
The exception to this is applications to the Veterinary Science course. Applications for the Veterinary program must be made in advance of the following deadlines for entry into Semester 1 of the following year:
- 31 March
- 30 June
- 30 September
- 30 November
Postgraduate coursework courses
Applications for admission to most of our postgraduate coursework programs can be made all year round using our online application tool.
The following courses have formal application deadlines:
- Master of Applied Psychology – 31 October
- Master of Counselling – 31 October
Postgraduate research courses

Deferring your Offer
You can defer your Murdoch Offer for one year, or up to two years if you must complete National Service in your home country. To defer your Offer, please contact the International Admissions Officer listed on your Offer of Admission and let them know that you would like to defer your place.
