How to pay and when to pay

The majority of domestic students [students who are Australian Citizens, Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizens] who are applying for an undergraduate course will be applying for a Commonwealth Supported Place. This means that students are applying for positions that have been partly paid for by the Federal Government.

How this works:

  • The Commonwealth Government provides Murdoch University with funding towards a limited number of undergraduate degrees.
  • This funding is re-allocated to each Murdoch degree course, creating a limited number of Commonwealth Supported Places for each degree.
  • Applicants are offered places on the basis of academic merit, starting with the highest ranked downwards, until all the places are filled.
  • The TER of the last person admitted into the course becomes the “cut off” for that course in that year.
Therefore, to have gained a place in that course in a given year, you would have needed a TER at or above the cut off point.

How do I pay my fees?

Students with a Commonwealth Supported Place or a Full Fee Place have a number of options on how to pay for their course. For full details see How to pay your fees.

When to do I have to pay my fees?

When you pay fees will depend on whether you are an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, as well as whether you are eligible or have chosen to defer the fees through one of the HELP schemes. For full details see When to pay your fees.

How much are my Tuition fees?

Full details of the tuition fees for each unit of study, the tuition fees policy and the policy on refunds are available at the Course Fee Calculator.
