Can I change my TISC preferences?

If you’ve got a niggling feeling that your TISC preferences might not give you the best possible chance of getting a place in the course you really want to study, or you’ve just changed your mind about what you want to do, here’s some great news.

Yes - you can change your preferences

These are the important dates you need to know:

  • Thursday 30 December 2010: ATAR results are available
  • Thursday 6 January 2011: Your final chance to change your TISC preferences

When you get your results, you can make an even more informed decision and change your application if you need to – and you won’t make the common TISC mistakes that some students make.

If you decide to change your TISC preferences, don’t worry:

  • You’re not alone, Tim Martin our Director of Domestic Student Liaison and Recruitment says lots of people change their preferences for different reasons.
“Students often change their minds based on their exam results, or as a result of having thought about things from a different perspective once exam pressure is off,” says Tim.
  • It’s free, you can make changes to your preferences any time before Thursday 6 January 2011.

It’s better to change your mind now than wish you’d done something about it when offers were being sent out. "We encourage you to go online and change your course preferences to improve your chances of getting into a course you’re really passionate about," added Tim.

Remember, even once you start at Murdoch, there’s tonnes of flexible options available to you. See how Murdoch student Alex changed her course mid-way through!
