Benefits of a university education
A university degree can set you up for life. And it will certainly increase your career prospects. Findings from the 2008 Australian Graduate Survey reports that over 85% of all graduates had found full-time employment within four months of graduating. Employment disciplines such as engineering and nursing have particularly high employment rates.
Murdoch offers over 80 undergraduate degree courses - all taught by some of the most enthusiastic and well qualified academic staff in Australia.
Our degree courses are flexible, so you can broaden your qualifications (and your choice of careers) by taking a double, or even a triple major. In most cases, a double major takes no more than three years to complete.
Studying for a degree is also a journey of personal growth and a great way of meeting new people who think the same way you do. It also means you can put a few letters after your name, which never fails to impress an employer.
As a Murdoch student, you will quickly develop the ability to think imaginatively, independently and critically. We’ll show you how to absorb new information and then apply your knowledge to practical problems and new situations; skills that are vital in our rapidly changing world.
University life is not just about learning; it’s also about making friends, exploring new interests and, well, having fun. Murdoch not only has Australia’s biggest campus, we also has a very active Student Guild and dozens of clubs and societies you can join.
