Overseas study opportunities - This is your chance to see the world
By studying overseas you will broaden your global outlook, gain intercultural awareness and create lasting professional and personal networks. There is no “best” time to study overseas – it is whenever you choose. However, many students find it best to go abroad early on in semester one or two of their second year or also in semester one of their third year. There are many options to choose from. Please visit our Overseas Study Opportunities website or email studyabroad@murdoch.edu.au.
Murdoch University Exchange Program
Experience new cultures, new people and new places. Every year Murdoch students go to all corners of the globe on exchange and return having not only earned credit toward their degree, but more importantly having had the experience of a lifetime! Spend the semester of a lifetime at one of our partner universities.
Where can I go?
You can choose from 50 different partner universities in 16 countries. For more information visit our Overseas Study Opportunities website or email studyabroad@murdoch.edu.au.
Do I need to learn a second language?
No! You can study in English and do not need to learn another language if you go to more exotic places like Sweden, France, Croatia or South Korea. All of our partner universities offer units in English. However studying in a non-English speaking country gives you the opportunity to still pick up words and come back to Australia with beginner knowledge in a language such as Danish or Czech.
Other study abroad programs
If 6 months sound too long you can choose to just do a summer or winter school, volunteer abroad or do an internship. Also some schools at Murdoch University offer study tours. To learn more about the different short-term programs, visit our Overseas Study Opportunities website.
