Health Sciences
Do you have it in you to be a veterinary surgeon? Or a nurse? Or maybe you’re developing a fascination for Psychology or Chiropractic Science or maybe you’re into Sports Science? Whichever field of Health Sciences you’re interested in, Murdoch has the course, the people and the equipment to get you started in your career.
But let’s start with a serious question: four legs or two?
Murdoch is known worldwide for its School of Veterinary Science. There’s a fully functional farm right on campus, with cows, sheep, horses and the occasional human. The Equine Hospital is the largest of its kind this side of the country and our Vet Clinic offers pet care to local residents, giving you the chance to practice what we preach!
On the two-legged side: Major research and diagnostic laboratories are available for biomedical students. We’ve also got a fully operational public chiropractic clinic with 11 treatment rooms and a gym.
Our School of Nursing is a respected body around Australia, thanks to dynamic course structure that focuses on both the scientific side of nursing and the human side, with a total of 36 weeks practical work across the three year program.
In the area of Psychology, our students consistently rate us as one of the best courses in the country, and this is supported by our state-of-the-art Psychology clinic used for training our Clinical Masters students.
