Office of Curriculum and Academic Policy

Quality Review and Quality Assurance at Murdoch University

The Office of Academic Quality, Curriculum Management and Policy supports the development of academic quality, strategy, policy and procedure in relation to learning, teaching and curriculum.

The team provides support to academic and professional staff in the interpretation and implementation of higher education standards and quality management. It facilitates the Curriculum Diagnostic process for curriculum review and also manages Academic Calibrations, the external benchmarking of student learning outcomes via the national IRU Academic Calibration Project. The team supports the delivery of university-wide professional accreditation activities and ensures appropriate monitoring and reporting of these activities to governance and management bodies, aligned to the requirements of the Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF). Additionally, the team promotes the Higher Education Standards Framework across the University and coordinates the University’s responses to requirements for reporting to the Tertiary Educational Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).

The Quality Assurance team works closely with the Quality and Enhancement team (TE@M-AQ) to identify and support quality improvement initiatives across all education areas of the University.
