Associate Professor, Engineering

"Teaching is an extremely important part of my life. I thoroughly enjoy the wide range of students I have taught in terms of their abilities, attitudes and backgrounds. It is always a thrill to see students make "breakthroughs" in understanding and/or problem solving. I also enjoy the different types of teaching with which I am involved from mathematical and theoretically oriented problems, through computer simulations, to practical exercises involving computer based control.

However, the most enjoyable aspect of teaching is one on one contact with students in an attempt to pass on my enthusiasm and motivation of the subject matter."

Achievements

Prior to joining Murdoch University as part of my PhD and subsequent research at the Australian National University, I designed, developed and operated computer controlled Maxwellian View Optical Systems for the purposes of studying Human Colour Vision.
